British sex workers ask how to make their experience safer for those wanting to engage in sexual activity

Jackie Desade is investigating how to make your experience in sex work safer for those looking to do so.

Sex workers across Britain are asking how to be more secure, how to protect themselves from violence and exploitation and how to market themselves when they want to increase the amount of clients they see per week.

The Progressive Times has discovered that many sex workers have no idea how to advertise themselves on online dating sites, what to say in their profiles, or how to screen clients and prevent people from gaining access to their home.

‘I’m hoping that the industry is going to change drastically over the next five years,’ said Jackie Desade, 20, who has become something of a celebrity in London’s cut-throat escorts industry.

‘I think it’s safer to do sex work in a private apartment than to be out on the streets.’

British National Sex Workers Union spokeswoman Jane Polster, 48, agreed. ‘Online is such a great way for escort to be competitive and let the potential clients see what they have on offer.

‘The paying market is such a small fraction of sex workers across the UK and being online allows you to do the work of two or three women when you normally have to do it of one.’
